Job summary

Foundever in Hyderabad is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in networking and network security to join our operations team. You will work on Cisco-based environments, handle routing/switching, firewalls, and content filtering, and contribute to proactive network management and incident resolution.

The role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a 24x7 shift.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across LAN/WAN and data center environments.
• Configure and manage Cisco routers/switches, ASA/FWSM, and IPsec modules.
• Work with network management tools (SolarWinds, Splunk) and traffic analysis (Wireshark, NMAP).
• Coordinate with vendor partners for issue resolution and documentation of changes.
• Document MOP/SOP and maintain internal knowledge databases.

• Well knowledge/experience on Cisco Firewalls (ASA, FWSM) and Cisco IPSEC and IPS Modules/Appliances
• Well knowledge/experience on the IOS (as, IOS-XR / IOS SR & SX)
• Well knowledge/experience on routers and switches (as, Cisco7600,ASR 1000, ISR/ Cisco6500, Cisco Nexus)
• Knowledge/experience on the network and server load balancers (F5 )
• Knowledge/experience on any Network Management System such as Solarwind, Network Flow and Splunk
• In-depth trouble shooting and problem analysis skills
• Well knowledge/experience on the routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP ,BGP)
• Layer 2 protocols including, VSS, VPC and Spanning Tree
• Experience with common LAN, WAN, and Datacenter architectures
• Wireshark/Sniffer analysis / Ripper / NMAP
• Experience with troubleshooting complex technical issues which may include multiple technical platforms.
• Ability to evaluate technological needs and recommend appropriate solutions using standards and best practices
• Understanding of how to escal... vendor partners to drive resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions, under pressure, to resolve technical issues.
• Ability to communicate technical information to a less technical audience which may include senior leadership.
