Job summary

SHI Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced network security engineer to design, deploy and manage NGFW, VPN/ZTNA, and secure remote-access solutions.

You will configure dynamic routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), SD-WAN, and SWG across enterprise platforms, and maintain robust access controls and switching infrastructure. You will also administer TACACS+/RADIUS, AD, and enterprise WLAN; collaborate with multiple teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security while

Qualifications

• Experience implementing NGFWs from leading vendors.
• Proficient with VPN/ZTNA and secure remote access.
• Experience with dynamic routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP).
• Experience with SD-WAN solutions across platforms.
• Familiar with Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solutions.
• Experience with TACACS+/RADIUS and Active Directory integration.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, manage, and troubleshoot NGFWs (Fortinet, Cisco, etc.).
• Configure, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot VPN, ZTNA, and secure remote-access solutions.
• Configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Implement, configure, and troubleshoot SD-WAN across vendor platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot Proxy and SWG solutions (Forcepoint, Cisco, etc.).
• Administer TACACS+, RADIUS, AD and related authentication services.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, Nexus and other enterprise switching/routing platforms.
• Manage Layer 2 networking: VLANs, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel, Port Security.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise WLAN (SSIDs, guest access, RF optimization, security).
• Monitor network/security incidents, perform root-cause analysis and resolve tickets within SLAs.
• Collaborate with L1/L3 teams, security, app teams and vendors to resolve incidents.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, SOPs, config records, and reports.
• Execute firmware/software upgrades, backups, device replacements, and maintenance per procedures.
• Plan structured change-management to minimize business disruption.
• Perform health checks, capacity monitoring, and proactive troubleshooting for availability and security.
• Support ITIL processes and security policies; contribute to continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance to junior network engineers and share best practices.

• Implement, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), including Fortinet, Cisco, and other leading firewall platforms.
• Configure, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot VPN, ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access), and secure remote-access solutions to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
• Configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, across enterprise network environments.
• Implement, configure, and troubleshoot SD-WAN solutions across Fortinet, Cisco, and other leading vendor platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot Proxy and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solutions, including Forcepoint, Cisco, and other security platforms.
• Administer and troubleshoot TACACS+, RADIUS, Active Directory, and network authentication services to support secure user and device access.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, Nexus, and other enterprise switching and routing platforms.
• Manage and troubleshoot Layer 2 networking technologies, including VLANs, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel, Port Security, trunking, and related switching protocols.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise WLAN environments, including SSIDs, authentication policies, guest access, RF optimization, and wireless security configurations.
• Monitor network and security infrastructure, identify incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve L2 network and security tickets within defined SLAs.
• Collaborate with L1/L3 teams, security teams, application teams, and vendors to resolve complex network and security incidents.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, topology diagrams, SOPs, configuration records, and operational reports.
• Execute firmware and software upgrades, configuration backups, device replacements, and preventive maintenance in accordance with established procedures.
• Plan and implement structured change-management activities, ensuring minimal business disruption and adherence to change-control processes.
• Perform network health checks, capacity monitoring, and proactive troubleshooting to improve network availability, performance, and security.
• Support incident, problem, and change management processes and contribute to continuous improvement of network operations and security standards.
• Follow established ITIL processes, security policies, operational procedures, and SLA requirements while managing enterprise network infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior network engineers and assist in knowledge transfer, troubleshooting, and operational best practices.
