Job summary

Network Administrator (Virtual Chief Technology Office) in Frisco, TX, is a hybrid role with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote. You will design, implement, and maintain comprehensive network assessments using an RSC toolset, manage CMDB, and collaborate with the service desk to improve efficiency and reliability.

The position requires 3–5 years of recent network admin experience, MSP background preferred, and strong VPN/LAN/WAN skills. Dallas-area candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

The vCTO/Network Administrator will proactively design, implement and maintain comprehensive best reputed company assessments using an RSC (risk, reputed company, & compliance) management toolset for reputed company reputed company systems, asset management, and documentation. Your daily responsibilities will include the following:

• Creates technical best practices and conducts ongoing reputed company assessments to determine alignment/misalignment.
• Establishes and implements best practices, ultimately reducing ticket creation by working with and in reputed company of the service desk.
• Schedules onsite monthly reputed company reputed company and retains ownership of the RSC assessment tool, scheduling and performing assessments, and aligning clients with best practices. Prepares for technology steering meetings in collaboration with the vCIO.
• Assists and maintains documentation, configuration changes, and technology remediation in collaboration with the reputed company reputed company team.
• Looks for automation and process improvements to improve service desk efficiency by reducing ticket counts and proactively addressing user needs.
• Works closely with centralized services, auditing and reviewing RMM configuration and performing reputed company/compliance remediation as needed.
• Serves as a service desk escalation reputed company, particularly reputed company onsite field services are required, and acts as the technical subject matter expert for clients managed. reputed company assistance for the service desk.
• Leads the creation and reputed company of technical documentation, process documentation, and knowledge reputed company content.
• Develops and maintains reputed company network knowledge, including: Hardware and software inventories, Maintaining Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Network Diagrams, Basic understanding of Line of Business (reputed company) applications and associated vendors, Performs regular onsite services, Validates centralized services- reputed company server/network health, monitoring, reputed company field-service technical support for user issues, reputed company relationship with reputed company reputed company of contact and key users, Advises on and performs implementation of new technology, Onsite proactive services.

Requirements for the Network Administrator

• A Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred; work reputed company experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• 3-5 years of RECENT similar Network Administrative experience
• Wide service desk experience, preferably with a managed services provider (MSP)
• Experience Supporting and Creating Group Police
• Experience with VPNs, LAN/WAN/WLAN and desktop support
• Vendor Management experience including application support, print, and phone system triage
• Experience with reputed company control and reputed company incident response and remediation
• Desktop Moves Adds Changes Decommissions (MACDs) including creation and deployment of new images

Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:

• Experience working with a Managed services provider (MSP) having served multiple SMB clients where support is provided for server/systems on a reputed company AD domain, network, storage, desktop, O365 email, with reputed company requirements; or equivalent experience leading support for a small but reputed company environment.

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Dallas Texas Metroplex area.
