Job summary

FlexBoard is seeking a Network Operations Center specialist to monitor and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. You will investigate incidents, document resolutions, and coordinate with engineering and vendor teams to mitigate issues.

The role requires hands-on experience with network monitoring tools, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Training or practical experience in network operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with network management tools and technologies such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios or similar.
• Ability to monitor environments, interpret alerts, troubleshoot issues, and support incident response.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders; documentation of incidents and resolutions.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP; familiarity with ITIL; experience in NOC or similar ops environment; interim DoD Secret clearance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure in real time to ensure availability, performance, and stability.
• Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot network issues, outages, alerts, and performance degradations.
• Use network management and monitoring tools to detect problems, assess impact, and support incidents.
• Escalate incidents to appropriate engineering, infrastructure, or vendor support teams when required.
• Perform routine network maintenance tasks and document changes and resolutions.
• Maintain comprehensive operational records to support reporting and trend analysis.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding network events and status.
• Collaborate with IT staff to improve network performance, availability, and security.
• Support development and implementation of network improvement strategies and risk mitigation.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure in reputed company time to ensure availability, performance, and operational stability.
• Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot network issues, outages, alerts, and performance degradations.

Job Qualifications

• Training or practical experience in network operations, network monitoring, and network troubleshooting.

• Requires an Interim DoD Secret or comparable clearance.
