Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai seeks an experienced network engineer with 6–8 years in complex enterprise networks and multi-vendor security deployments. You will design, implement, and troubleshoot routing, switching, and WAN solutions across data centers and campuses.

Key areas include DMVPN, BGP/OSPF, Arista Spine/Leaf, Palo Alto NG devices, Infoblox DDI, and network automation using Python or Terraform. Datadog dashboards and security hardening are also involved.

Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco Routing & Switching.
• Hands-on DMVPN, IPsec, OSPF and EIGRP.
• Expertise with Arista switches and enterprise wireless tech.
• Solid TCP/IP, QoS, multicast, SNMP fundamentals.
• Hands-on with Palo Alto NG devices and firewalls.
• Hands-on with Infoblox for DDI management.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, Routing & NAT, L7 security, threat prevention.
• Strong Panorama, HA configuration knowledge.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing/change management.

Responsibilities

• Routing & Switching across WAN/LAN environments.
• BGP configuration and WAN link troubleshooting.
• Deploy new VLANs and troubleshoot end-user network issues.
• Monitoring and VPN configuration.
• Firmware upgrade and device replacements (RMA).
• SD-WAN configuration and traffic re-routing (Palo Alto Prisma).
• Troubleshoot data center spine/leaf and MPLS/EGP/OSPF networks.
• Configure NAT and security policies for firewalls; terraform-based policy creation.
• DNS/DHCP/IPAM management with Infoblox; subnet allocations.
• Coordinate with service providers for link issues; liaise with Cisco TAC for RMA.
