Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services seeks a Network & Firewall Administrator to monitor and secure our enterprise network in Hyderabad. You’ll manage Meraki, SD-WAN, and firewall configurations, while supporting Cisco devices and Azure networking.

Regular upgrades, VPN management, and incident documentation are part of the role. The candidate should have strong routing/switching knowledge and hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, ThousandEyes, and Splunk to ensure optimal performance

Qualifications

• Must have Network Admin skills: Routing and Switching, Meraki, SD-WAN, Firewall, Azure Network, and monitoring tools (Datadog, ThousandEyes, Splunk).

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor network performance, availability, and security using Meraki Dashboard, Cisco SD-WAN vManage, Firewall, ThousandEyes, Splunk and Datadog.
• Configure and manage Cisco routers and switches in LAN/WAN environments for continual service and Azure networks.
• Manage Cisco, Meraki devices, Firewall, SD-WAN devices; perform firmware upgrades, patches, and config changes during maintenance windows with minimal disruption.
• Configure, implement, and maintain firewall solutions (Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco); manage VPNs and secure remote access.
• Manage wireless controller and access points.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues on Catalyst, Meraki, and SD-WAN devices.
• Collaborate with support teams, vendors, and service providers for escalations and troubleshooting to sustain infra service.
• Identify and resolve SD-WAN path failures, tunnel issues, or policy misconfigurations affecting app performance.
• Validate routing tables, ACLs, VPNs, QoS, and firewall policies for correct implementation.
• Remediate Meraki device issues like AP connectivity and security alerts via cloud management.
• Leverage Cisco IOS logs, Meraki logs, SD-WAN dashboards, syslogs, SNMP traps for troubleshooting.
• Update network documentation and incident logs with steps and resolutions.
• Recommend upgrades or design changes to minimize faults and simplify troubleshooting.

1. 1 Continuously monitor network performance, availability, and security using Meraki Dashboard, Cisco SD-WAN vManage, Firewall, Thousand eye tools, Splunk and Datadog.
2. 2 Configure, deploy, and manage Cisco routers and switches in LAN/WAN environments for continual service and Azure networks
3. 3 Configure and manage Cisco, Meraki devices, Firewall, SDWAN Devices and firmware upgrades, patches, and configuration changes during maintenance windows while ensuring minimal disruption.
4. 4 Firewall Administration - Configure, implement, and maintain firewall solutions (Palo Alto, fortigate, Cisco). Create, review, and optimize firewall security policies and access control rules. Perform firewall upgrades, patching, and firmware management. Manage VPN configurations and secure remote access.

6. 6 Troubleshooting hardware related issue on Catalyst , Meraki and SDWAN devices
7. 7 Work closely with support teams, vendors (Cisco TAC, Meraki support), and service providers for escalations and troubleshooting to maintain a continual Support and service for the Infra
8. 8 Identify and resolve SD-WAN path failures, tunnel issues, or policy misconfigurations impacting application performance or site connectivity.
9. 9 Validate routing tables, ACLs, VPN configurations, QoS settings, and firewall policies to ensure they are correctly implemented as intended.
10. 10 Managing and remediate Meraki device issues, such as AP connectivity problems, switch port errors, or security appliance alerts, through the cloud management platform.
11. 11 Leverage Cisco IOS logs, Meraki event logs, SD-WAN troubleshooting dashboards, syslogs, and SNMP traps for in-depth troubleshooting.
12. 12 Validate routing tables, ACLs, VPN configurations, QoS settings, and firewall policies to ensure they are correctly implemented as intended.
13. 13 Update network documentation and incident logs with troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and lessons learned.
14. 14 Recommend upgrades or design changes to minimize common faults or simplify troubleshooting efforts.
