Job summary

VRC Plastomould (I) Pvt. Ltd. in Pune, Maharashtra, invites a skilled Mold Design Engineer to design complete plastic injection moulds using Siemens NX Mold Wizard.

You will develop core and cavity designs, cooling circuits and ejection systems for automotive components. The role requires hands-on experience in 3D/2D feasibility, DFM, EDM electrode design, and knowledge of hot runner systems, mould steels and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Siemens NX Modeling, Mold Wizard, Electrode Design and Drafting.
• Hands-on experience in plastic injection mould design for automotive components.
• Expertise in 3D/2D feasibility, DFM and core-cavity design.
• Practical knowledge of EDM electrode design and spark gap allocation.
• Knowledge of hot runner systems, mould steels, cooling design and mould bases.
• Understanding of CNC, EDM, wire cutting, GD&T and plastic material behaviour.
• Exposure to Moldflow/Moldex3D is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D and 2D part feasibility studies and prepare DFM reports.
• Design complete plastic injection moulds using Siemens NX Mold Wizard.
• Develop core and cavity designs, sliders, lifters, cooling circuits and ejection systems.
• Design EDM electrodes using NX Electrode Design.
• Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, GA layouts and BOMs.
• Coordinate mould flow analysis, tool trials and corrective design modifications.
• Work closely with tool room, CNC, EDM, CAM and production teams.
• Support APQP/PPAP documentation and engineering change management.
• Guide junior designers and contribute to design standardisation.
