Creative Synergies is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop automotive plastic components and sheet metal parts. You will create 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5 and NX, focusing on manufacturability and cost optimization.
The role requires strong GD&T knowledge, DF(M) principles, and collaboration with manufacturing, tooling, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility. Bengaluru-based on-site role with growth opportunities.
Design and develop Automotive plastic components and sheet metal parts based on functional and manufacturing requirements.
Create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using CATIA V5 and/or Unigraphics (NX).
Apply design principles for manufacturability, cost optimization, and performance.
Perform design reviews and incorporate feedback from cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Post/ Diploma in tool die making/ NTTF /CIPET or GTDC or related field.
Proficiency in CATIA V5 and/or Unigraphics (NX).
Understanding of injection molding and sheet metal fabrication processes.
Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and design standards.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred / Added Advantage:
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Experience in tolerance stack-up analysis.
Exposure to tooling concepts (mold design, dies, etc.).
Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
