Job summary

Responsibilities

• Staff Management & Scheduling: Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate bartenders, barbacks, and wait staff.
• Inventory & Stock Control: Track and order liquor, beer, wine, glassware, and bar supplies.
• Financial & Sales Operations: Manage cash registers, float preparation, till balancing, and analyze sales reports to hit profitability targets.
• Safety, Legal & Compliance: Enforce local alcohol laws (e.g., checking IDs and refusing service to intoxicated patrons); maintain health, hygiene, and fire safety standards.
• Customer Service & Event Planning: Handle customer complaints and build guest relations; coordinate special promotions, wine tastings, or live events.

• Staff Management & Scheduling:
  • Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate bartenders, barbacks, and wait staff.
  • Conduct shift briefings, assign daily tasks, and monitor performance.
• Inventory & Stock Control:
  • Track and order liquor, beer, wine, glassware, and bar supplies.
  • Perform regular stock audits, monitor wastage, and ensure proper product rotation.
• Financial & Sales Operations:
  • Manage cash registers, float preparation, and till balancing.
  • Control pour costs, set drink pricing standards, and analyze sales reports to hit profitability targets.
• Safety, Legal & Compliance:
  • Enforce local alcohol laws (e.g., checking IDs and refusing service to intoxicated patrons).
  • Maintain health, hygiene, and fire safety standards across the bar area and storage cellars.
• Customer Service & Event Planning:
  • Handle customer complaints and build guest relations.
