Job summary

Bajaj Auto is seeking a Graduate Engineer – Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering in Maharashtra to lead and optimize export-oriented vehicle assembly operations in a high-volume plant. You will oversee production planning, line balancing, takt time and cycle-time management, while ensuring quality and on-time shipment.

The role requires strong exposure to TPM, Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement; you'll manage multiple models and variants, coordinate with SAP/ERP and MS Office

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineer in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering from a reputed institute.
• Strong experience in vehicle assembly / production operations in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience with export-oriented production and multi-model variants.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute production to meet export schedules and dispatch deadlines.
• Balance lines, optimize takt time and cycle time across models and variants.
• Monitor quality requirements and prevent defects in export products.
• Coordinate production planning with SAP/ERP and MS Office tools, and manage shop-floor teams.

Educational Qualifications

Graduate Engineer – Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering from a reputed institute with good academic track record.

Additional Requirements

• Strong experience in vehicle assembly / production operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in managing export-oriented production and multiple product / variant mix.
• Knowledge of assembly processes, line balancing, takt time and cycle-time management.
• Strong understanding of quality requirements and defect prevention in export products.
• Exposure to production planning and execution against shipment / dispatch schedules.
• Experience in manpower planning and shop-floor team management.
• Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement systems.
• Exposure to new model introduction and engineering change implementation.
• Knowledge of production traceability, process documentation and export-specific requirements.
• Working knowledge of SAP / production reporting systems and MS Office.
