Job summary

Bajaj Auto is seeking a Senior QA leader to head the entire QA function across manufacturing, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product quality.

The role involves independent control of QA for high-end bikes, driving new quality standards, and guiding a 30+ member team toward sustained quality improvements and compliance.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile with 12–15 years of experience.

Job Role & Responsibilities

Job Overview

To lead the overall QA function (incoming quality, in process quality, outgoing quality, vendor parts quality & export supply quality) for the manufacturing location while interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure product quality.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling of all QA functions for High-end Sports bikes
• Adopting and developing new quality standards, processes, for sustaining and improving product quality
• Leading and developing a diverse team for new capabilities and high performance. Ensuring team performance in regard to DWM, SIR of parts as per plan
• Examining the outgoing vehicle quality for functional, aesthetic, safety etc.
• Ensuring products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.
• Process audit at vendors & shops for verification of system compliance.
• Understanding customer expectations and needs from the product.
• Developing and improving supplier quality
• Knowledge of New product development process.
• Interface with R&D for rectifying quality issues and analysis
• Audits- Internal and vendor quality, TPM
• Analyzing statistical reports on quality standards and suggesting corrective measures
• Field failure analysis along with CQA – EFR / Warranty & initiating actions
• Guide concerned departments & vendors for implementing corrective & preventive actions.
