Job summary

Swadesh Apparel Solutions in Tirupur is seeking an experienced Garment Merchandiser to handle buyer communications, manage orders from development to shipment, and coordinate style specifications, fabrics, trims, and production timelines.

Candidate should have 2–5 years of garment merchandising experience, especially in export-oriented knitwear, with strong Excel/Word and negotiation skills. Independent, deadline-driven professionals are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Fashion, Apparel, Textile, Garment Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in garment merchandising, preferably in an export-oriented knitwear company.
• Good understanding of knitted garment manufacturing, fabrics, trims, measurements, sampling, and production processes.
• Experience in handling international buyers and export orders will be an advantage.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong follow-up and coordination abilities.
• Ability to understand buyer tech packs, specifications, and product requirements.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, email communication, and merchandising documentation.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple orders, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle buyer communications and day-to-day merchandising activities.
• Manage orders from development and sampling through bulk production and shipment.
• Prepare and follow up on costing, quotations, T&A, order sheets, and production-related documents.
• Coordinate with buyers regarding styles, specifications, measurements, fabrics, trims, prints, embroidery, and other product requirements.
• Coordinate closely with sampling, sourcing, production, quality, and packing teams.
• Follow up on fabric, trims, accessories, samples, and approvals to ensure timely execution.
• Monitor production progress and ensure orders are completed according to buyer requirements and delivery schedules.
• Conduct regular follow-up with internal teams and suppliers to resolve production and quality issues.
• Maintain proper buyer-wise order records and merchandising documentation.
• Support new product development and contribute to maintaining strong buyer relationships.
