Job summary

RK Exports(Karur) Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Fabric Merchandiser to manage end-to-end fabric merchandising, from development to shipment, in close coordination with production, design and quality teams.

You will communicate with buyers, interpret specifications and pricing, prepare cost sheets and samples, and track orders through dyeing, printing, weaving and stitching while maintaining timelines and compliance. This on-site role is based in Karur.

Qualifications

• Experience in home textiles merchandising and product development.
• Knowledge of fabric types, weaving, dyeing, printing and quality parameters.

• Costing, order follow-up, and production tracking with strict timelines.
• Diploma/degree in Textile Technology or related field; experience preferred.

Role Description

The Fabric Merchandiser will manage the end-to-end merchandising process for fabrics, from product development to shipment, in close coordination with production, design, and quality teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating with buyers, understanding product specifications and pricing requirements, preparing cost sheets and samples, and tracking orders through various manufacturing stages such as dyeing, printing, weaving, and stitching. The role involves monitoring production timelines, ensuring quality standards and certifications are met, and resolving any issues related to fabric, trims, or delivery schedules. The Fabric Merchandiser will also analyze market trends, support new collection development, and maintain accurate documentation and reports. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Karur.

Qualifications

• Strong merchandising and product development skills in home textiles, with the ability to interpret buyer requirements and translate them into feasible products.
• Knowledge of fabric types, weaving techniques, dyeing and printing processes, and basic textile quality parameters.
• Proficiency in communication and coordination, including managing buyer interactions, vendor follow-ups, and internal cross-functional collaboration.
• Competence in costing, order follow-up, and production tracking, with attention to timelines, quality norms, and compliance requirements.
• Basic computer skills, including use of spreadsheets, email, and documentation tools; familiarity with ERP or production management systems is an advantage.
• Understanding of export procedures and documentation related to shipments, certifications, and buyer-specific standards is beneficial.
• Diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Fashion/Textile Merchandising, or a related field preferred, along with prior experience in textile merchandising or home textiles.
• Ability to work on-site in Karur, manage multiple orders simultaneously, and maintain accuracy under time constraints.
