Job summary

S & S Engineers is seeking an Electrical Billing Engineer to join their on-site MEP projects team in Tamil Nadu. The role focuses on preparing RA bills, finalizing measurements, and managing subcontractor billing, with emphasis on accuracy, rate analysis, and timely invoicing.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, and project managers.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to prepare accurate client RA bills for MEP, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm works
• Ability to finalize measurement sheets, quantity take-offs, and billing abstracts
• Experience in subcontractor billing, certification, and payment recommendations
• Competence to prepare and negotiate variation / extra item claims with proper rate analysis
• Track approved BOQs, revised BOQs, deviations, and change orders
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project managers for bill certification
• Monitor billing targets, cash flow, and payment recovery
• Prepare monthly cost reports, billing status, and MIS reports
• Support final account settlement, project close-out, and audits
• Guide and mentor junior billing engineers

Responsibilities

• As part of the MEP Projects team, you will independently prepare and submit client RA bills for MEP, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm works.
• Finalize measurement sheets, quantity take-offs, and billing abstracts to ensure timely invoicing.
• You will handle subcontractor billing, certification, and payment recommendations to support project cash flow.
• Prepare and negotiate variation / extra item claims with proper rate analysis and documentation.
• Track approved BOQs, revised BOQs, deviations, and change orders to reflect in billing.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project managers for bill certification and approvals.
• Monitor billing targets, cash flow, and payment recovery to minimise outstanding dues.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, billing status, and MIS reports for management review.
• Support final account settlement, project close-out, and audits with accurate records.
• Mentor and guide junior billing engineers to maintain quality and compliance
