Job summary

Studio AsA seeks a motivated MEP Manager to join its design team. You will assist senior engineers in design, coordination, and preparation of MEPF services for commercial fit-out projects.

Responsibilities include preparing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire fighting systems, basic layouts, load calculations, and AutoCAD drawing updates, while coordinating with architects and interior designers. Site visits and documentation are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of MEP systems and building services.
• Familiarity with MS Excel and engineering tools.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and preparation of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Fighting systems.
• Prepare basic MEP layouts, schematics, and design drawings under supervision.
• Support load calculations, equipment selection, and specs.
• Coordinate MEP with architectural and interior design teams.
• Update AutoCAD drawings including layouts and details.
• Assist in preparing BOQs, quantity take-offs, and material specs.
• Participate in clash detection and coordination of MEP services.
• Attend coordination meetings and implement design changes.
• Conduct site visits to verify execution against drawings.
• Maintain documentation of drawings, revisions, calculations, and submissions.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical information and product details.

At Studio AsA, We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic MEP Manager to join our design team. The candidate will assist senior engineers in the design, coordination, and preparation of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting (MEPF) services for commercial fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and preparation of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems.
• Prepare basic MEP layouts, schematics, and design drawings under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support in load calculations, equipment selection, and preparation of technical specifications.
• Coordinate MEP services with architectural and interior design
• Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings, including layouts, sections, details, and schematics.
• Assist in preparing BOQs, quantity take-offs, and material specifications.
• Participate in clash detection and coordination between various MEP services.
• Attend internal coordination meetings and incorporate design changes.
• Conduct site visits when required to understand site conditions and verify execution against drawings.
• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, calculations, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical information and product details.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Basic understanding of MEP systems and building services.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting design principles.
• Familiarity with MS Excel and other basic engineering tools.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of experience in MEP design.
• Strong interest in corporate fit-out projects
• Willingness to learn design standards, codes, and industry practices.
• Ability to work on multiple projects
