Job summary

Mahindra Lifespaces is seeking a senior MEPF Lead to manage Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting works across projects, ensuring design intent, technical compliance, cost efficiency, and timely delivery in coordination with stakeholders.

You will lead a team of MEPF engineers, review shop drawings, oversee execution on-site, monitor progress and budgets, and ensure proper handovers to facility management.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience in MEPF project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEPF execution strategy and schedule for projects.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, vendors and internal teams.
• Review and approve shop drawings before submission to consultants.
• Identify design gaps and coordinate timely resolution.
• Oversee site engineers and ensure execution per approved drawings and specs.
• Review progress, ensure schedule and quality benchmarks are met.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower, and material planning.
• Ensure post-approval mockups for all activity types are completed.
• Bill certification for related packages.
• Verify testing and commissioning procedures and approve final reports.
• Review equipment selection and material submittals.
• Monitor budgets and control cost deviations.
• Enforce safety norms on all MEPF works.
• Ensure documentation and as-built drawings are updated.
• Facilitate seamless handovers to FM within timelines.
• Lead and mentor MEPF engineers and drive accountability.

Job description

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting (MEPF) works across the project ensuring design intent, technical compliance, cost efficiency, and timely delivery in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Shop Drawings & Technical Coordination

• Prepare overall MEPF execution strategy and schedule aligned with project timelines.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal civil/architecture teams.
• Review and approve shop drawings prepared by engineers and contractors before submission to consultants.
• Identify design gaps, interface issues, and coordinate timely resolution.

B. Execution & Supervision

• Oversee and guide site engineers for execution of all MEPF systems as per approved shop drawings and project specifications.
• Review daily and weekly progress reports, ensuring adherence to schedule and quality benchmarks.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower deployment, and material planning.
• Ensuring work is being executed post approval mockup for each type of activity
• Monitor contractor progress and resolve site-level issues promptly.
• Bill certification for related packages

C. Cost and Quality Control

• Verify testing and commissioning procedures and approve final reports.
• Conduct technical reviews of equipment selection and material submittals.
• Monitor project budgets for MEPF scope and control cost deviations.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety norms for all MEPF works.
• Ensure documentation, including shop drawing approvals, test reports, and as-built drawings, is complete and updated.
• Ensuring seamless handovers of all services to FM in given timeline.

D. Team Leadership

• Lead, guide, and mentor MEPF engineers in technical and site management aspects.
• Drive accountability, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving within the team.
