Job summary

Fortress Envira Climate Change Technology Pvt. Ltd. in Thane seeks a seasoned MEP – Engineer/Project Engineer to lead design and execution of electrical, mechanical and plumbing works in high-rise/hospital projects.

5–8 years of relevant MEP experience is required. Strong coordination with HVAC, fire, CCTV, BMS, and energy efficiency initiatives is essential. You will review contractor drawings, prepare budgets, and ensure compliance with local codes while driving on-site progress and client

Qualifications

• Good understanding of local and international design standards, code & local authority requirements.
• Sound knowledge on design calculations such as electrical load estimation, short circuit, voltage drop, equipment selection, solar systems.
• Experience reviewing design documents from contractors.
• Coordination with HVAC, PLUMBING, FIRE FIGHTING, PA SYSTEM, CCTV SYSTEM, BMS SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, ETC.
• Ability to coordinate with stakeholders for follow-up and approvals.
• Assist seniors in review of shop drawings, material submittals and RFIs.

Responsibilities

• Manage MEP planning for electrical, mechanical, plumbing and related systems.
• Prepare and manage MEP budget and schedule; monitor variances to control cost.
• Execute Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing works and supervise against approved drawings.
• Provide planning input and track progress on site.
• Review Fire Fighting designs (pipes, sprinklers, protection systems) and low voltage designs.
• Review and design for power, lighting, emergency lighting and related systems.
• Review mechanical installations including lifts and structural supports.
• Suggest energy efficiency improvements and Green Building inputs.
• Interact with technical authorities and support tender discussions.
• Review bills and variation claims and assist in approvals.

Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering

Job Location: Thane, Maharashtra

Experience: 5-8 years (Who has experience in MEP design or execution of High-rise buildings or hospitals.)

• Good understanding of local and international design standards, code & local authority requirements.
• Sound knowledge on Design calculations such as Electrical Load estimation, short circuit, Voltage Drop, equipment selection, new technology, solar system, etc.
• Should be experienced in reviewing design documents from contractors.
• Coordination level understanding of other services such as HVAC, PLUMBING, FIRE FIGHTING, PA SYSTEM, CCTV SYSTEM, BMS SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, ETC.
• Good in Co- ordination with relevant stakeholders for follow-up and approvals.
• Assist seniors in review and approval of contractor’s shop drawings and material submittals.
• Assist seniors in response to RFI and queries from Site.
• Coordination with Commercial and with team for cost inputs and tender technical discussions.
• Active participation in meetings and discussions at client level.
• Assist seniors in technical review of products for rate contract, design & estimate.
• Assist seniors for Authority submission.
• To manage the entire mechanical, (HVAC, PA, FAS, CCTV etc..) electrical & plumbing activities MEP
  Planning.
• To prepare and manage MEP budget, to prepare schedule and checks on MEP budget variance to control cost.
• To execute -Electrical work, Mechanical work, Plumbing services, etc.
• To supervise the work as per approved drawings plans.
• To provide planning input for the MEP works and monitor planning v/s progress on site.
• To review & design Fire Fighting designs covering pipe sizing, sprinklers distribution, hoods fire suppression system, gas detection system, etc.
• To review & design Electrical & Low Voltage designs covering lighting and power systems, D.B. schedule
  and power schematic, emergency lighting, fire alarm, low voltage systems, etc.
• To review & design all mechanical installation design includes lift, Canopy, Gates, Rails, special structural
  steels etc.
• To review and Improving energy efficiency of the building, analyze mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions.
• To review plans and specifications as per requirement.
• Review and approve weekly, monthly, and special progress reports, as needed.
• Interact with Technical authority to ensure design achievability or modifications.
• To give necessary inputs towards Green Building design.
  Managerial: -
• Monitor and control the project deliverables from authorities and contractors.
• Prepare a micro schedule for deliverables.
• Review bills, technical parameters and variation claim by contractors.

Essential Skills:

• Auto CAD Knowledge for review of drawings with basic drafting skill.
• Knowledge of electrical software dilux, Etap, MEP, etc.
• Knowledge of DSR, Market rate for review of estimate & new estimate.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Good communication skills.
• writing skills for detailed project reports.
• Should be a team player and have a positive approach to change.
• Should possess good analytical as well as presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
