Capacite Infraprojects Ltd. is seeking an experienced MEP Design & Coordination professional for high-rise building projects in Mumbai. The role focuses on MEP design review, coordination and estimation, ensuring integration with architectural and structural requirements.

The candidate should have strong experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical MEP systems, design coordination, BOQ/estimation, and execution support for large-scale residential, commercial or high-rise developments.

Qualifications

• BS, BE or B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics required.
• 7-15 years of MEP engineering/design experience preferred.
• Experience with high-rise, commercial or large building projects helpful.
• Strong knowledge of building services codes, standards and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate MEP designs, drawings and specifications for high-rise buildings.
• Ensure designs comply with project requirements and standards.
• Coordinate MEP with Architectural, Structural and Civil disciplines and resolve clashes.

Position Overview

Capacite Infraprojects Ltd.is looking for an experienced MEP Design & Coordination professional with 1225 years of experience in high-rise buildings / large building construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for MEP engineering design review, coordination, estimation, technical evaluation and ensuring seamless integration of MEP services with architectural and structural requirements.
The role requires strong experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical MEP systems, design coordination, BOQ/estimation, consultant coordination and execution support for large-scale residential, commercial or high-rise building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• MEP Engineering Design & Review
  • Review and coordinate MEP engineering designs, drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with project requirements, applicable codes, standards and statutory requirements.
  • Review Mechanical/Electrical services including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical power distribution, lighting, ELV and other building services as applicable.
  • Identify design gaps, constructability issues and potential clashes at the design stage.
  • Provide technical inputs for value engineering and optimisation of MEP systems.
• MEP Coordination
  • Coordinate MEP designs with Architectural, Structural, Civil and other engineering disciplines.
  • Review and resolve clashes between MEP services and structural/architectural elements.
    Coordinate with MEP consultants, architects, structural consultants, PMC and project teams.
  • Lead coordination meetings and ensure timely closure of technical/design issues.
  • Review coordinated/shop drawings and ensure readiness for execution.
• Estimation & BOQ
  • Prepare/review MEP quantities, BOQs, estimates and cost benchmarks.
  • Analyse MEP drawings and specifications for accurate quantity assessment.
  • Support tendering, contractor evaluation and technical comparison of MEP packagesReview contractor quotations, deviations, variations and rate analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation without compromising quality or performance.
  • High-Rise / Building Project Support
    • Provide engineering support during project execution and resolve design-related site issues.
    • Ensure MEP designs are practical and aligned with construction methodologies
    • Coordinate with site teams for execution of approved MEP systems.
    • Monitor design deliverables against project schedules and construction requirements.
    • Support testing, commissioning and handover requirements from the engineering/design perspective.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of MEP engineering design and coordination. Experience in high-rise residential / commercial building construction.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical and/or Electrical building services.
• Expertise in MEP BOQ, estimation and cost analysis.
• Proficiency in reviewing AutoCAD, Revit/BIM and MEP coordination drawings.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination and clash resolution.
  Good knowledge of building services codes, standards and statutory requirements.
• Strong consultant, contractor and stakeholder management skills.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and team-management skills.

Preferred Experience

• 7 - 15years of overall experience in MEP engineering/design.
• Significant experience in high-rise buildings, residential towers, commercial buildings or large-scale building projects.
• Candidates with strong exposure to design coordination + estimation + project execution support will be preferred.
• Experience with reputed real estate developers, EPC companies, PMC organisations or MEP consultants will be an advantage.
