Job summary

Zigsaw is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer with 5–10 years of relevant experience to manage and execute MEP works at project sites in Maharashtra, India. You will coordinate electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and ELV services while ensuring quality, timelines, safety, and compliance with drawings and specs.

The role requires planning, review of drawings, and strong coordination with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure clash-free, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with MEP discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in interior fit-out or related projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP services and coordination with interior works.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; MS Excel/MS Office; familiarity with Revit/BIM is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise MEP works for interior fit-out projects from execution through handover.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, layouts, specifications, and BOQs.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
• Supervise installation of electrical systems, lighting, power, DBs, panels, and cable management; HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and ELV systems.
• Ensure MEP installations are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover of MEP systems.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical inputs to the Project Manager.
• Ensure proper documentation, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test reports, and handover documentation.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer with 5-10 years of relevant experience in the interior fit-out and construction industry to manage and execute MEP works at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and other MEP services while ensuring quality, timelines, safety, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise MEP works for interior fit-out projects from execution through handover.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, shop drawings, layouts, specifications, and BOQs.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
• Supervise installation of:
• Electrical systems, lighting, power, DBs, panels, and cable management.
• HVAC systems, ducting, piping, FCUs/AHUs, and ventilation.
• Plumbing and drainage systems.
• Fire-fighting and fire-alarm systems.
• ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, data/networking, and other low-voltage services, as applicable.

• Ensure MEP installations are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, statutory requirements, and project standards.
• Coordinate MEP services with interior finishes, ceilings, partitions, furniture, and other architectural works to avoid clashes and rework.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship and installation quality.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for manpower, materials, work schedules, and site requirements.
• Track project progress against planned schedules and highlight delays or site constraints.
• Prepare and maintain daily/weekly progress reports, inspection reports, checklists, and site records.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and final handover of MEP systems.
• Support quantity verification, material approvals, BOQ reconciliation, and measurement of contractor works.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and site safety procedures.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical inputs and updates to the Project Manager.
• Resolve site-level technical issues in coordination with consultants and design teams.
• Ensure proper documentation, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test reports, and handover documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or relevant MEP discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience, preferably in interior fit-out, commercial interiors, corporate offices, retail, hospitality, or high-end residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP services and their coordination with interior works.
• Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and ELV systems.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP/shop drawings and coordinate drawings.
• Experience in site execution, subcontractor management, quality control, and project coordination.
• Knowledge of relevant Indian standards, codes, and statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of MS Excel/MS Office is required.
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM/Navisworks will be an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and site-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and work effectively under project Deadlines.

Preferred Experience

Candidates who have worked on commercial office fit-outs, retail outlets, hotels, restaurants, corporate interiors, or premium residential projects will be Preferred.
