You will prepare drawings, BOQs, and engage with vendors, ensuring NABH/JCI compliance and seamless integration with architectural layouts. This is a non-site role emphasizing design excellence and technical validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• 03 years of experience in MEP design (Healthcare experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP drawings (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting).
• Develop detailed BOQs with technical specifications and align with design intent.
• Coordinate with vendors for validation, specifications, and costing; evaluate proposals.
• Work with architects, planners, and internal teams to ensure seamless MEP integration.
• Ensure designs comply with NABH, JCI, and regulatory standards; promote energy-efficient practices.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled MEP Design Engineer with strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system design for healthcare projects.

• This is a purely office-based design and coordination role focused on:
• High-quality MEP drawing preparation
• Detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities) development
• Technical validation and vendor coordination

*This role does NOT involve on-site execution or supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1. MEP Design & Drawings

• Prepare detailed, coordinated MEP drawings (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting)
• Ensure drawings are logically planned, clash-free, and aligned with hospital workflows
• Integrate MEP services with architectural and clinical planning layouts
• Develop design concepts, layouts, schematics, and detailed working drawings

2. BOQ & Technical Documentation

• Prepare accurate and detailed BOQs with technical specifications
• Ensure BOQs are aligned with design intent, budget, and project standards
• Support in cost estimation and value engineering

3. Vendor Coordination & Technical Discussions

• Coordinate with vendors for technical validation, specifications, and costing
• Evaluate vendor proposals and ensure alignment with project requirements
• Participate in technical discussions and design finalization

4. Design Coordination

• Work closely with architects, healthcare planners, and internal teams
• Ensure seamless integration of all MEP systems within project design
• Resolve design conflicts and optimize system efficiency

5. Compliance & Standards

• Ensure designs comply with NABH, JCI, and relevant regulatory standards
• Incorporate energy-efficient and sustainable design practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• 03 years of experience in MEP design (Healthcare experience preferred)

Strong expertise in:

• HVAC systems (AHU, Chillers, ventilation design)
• Electrical systems (LT panels, load calculation, distribution)
• Plumbing & fire-fighting systems

Proficiency in:

• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• MEP drafting and coordination tools
• Strong understanding of:
• BOQ preparation and technical specifications
• Drawing logic, detailing, and coordination
• Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Experience in hospital or healthcare infrastructure projects
• Understanding of medical gas pipeline systems
• Exposure to NABH/JCI compliance requirements
• Experience in design coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
