Job summary

Escher Labs is seeking an MEP BIM Modeller for a full-time, on-site role in Mumbai. You will create and update detailed 3D BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, ensuring accuracy per project standards and client requirements.

Role Description

The MEP BIM Modeller is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for developing coordinated Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) models within BIM environments. This role involves creating and updating detailed 3D models, interpreting construction drawings, and ensuring accurate representation of MEP systems in line with project standards and client requirements. The MEP BIM Modeller will work closely with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to resolve clashes, support constructability reviews, and contribute to digital delivery workflows. Daily tasks include model setup, element placement, documentation support, and maintaining model quality and integrity across project phases. The role also supports continuous improvement of modelling standards, templates, and digital workflows in alignment with Escher Labs’ digital engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for MEP modelling, with hands‑on experience in creating and managing coordinated models.
• Understanding of Architecture and MEP system layouts, with the ability to interpret and translate design intent into accurate digital models.
• Experience as a Modeler or BIM Technician, including working with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) components and assemblies.
• Ability to read and work from Construction Drawings, specifications, and related documentation to develop detailed and buildable models.
• Working knowledge of Revit or similar BIM authoring tools; familiarity with Navisworks or coordination/clash detection software is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, strong spatial visualization skills, and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and model integrity.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and meet project timelines.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, or a related field; prior experience in BIM for buildings or infrastructure projects is preferred.
