Job summary

The Tacton iSolutions LLP is seeking a BIM Engineer – MEP for a full-time hybrid role based in Ahmedabad. You will develop and manage coordinated BIM models for MEP systems using Autodesk Revit, ensuring alignment with architectural and structural models and meeting project standards.

You will prepare detailed construction drawings, support 4D/5D simulations, resolve clashes, and contribute to automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy in a global project environment.

Qualifications

• BIM expertise including model creation, coordination, and clash detection.
• MEP design and coordination within BIM environments.
• Understanding multidisciplinary interfaces and project requirements.
• Experience with construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks, and related BIM tools.
• Knowledge of international standards is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering/architecture.
• Strong analytical skills and teamwork with global project teams.
• Experience with automation workflows and scripting is a plus.

Role Description

The BIM Engineer – MEP role is a full-time hybrid position based in Ahmedabad. The role involves developing and managing coordinated BIM models for MEP systems using tools such as Autodesk Revit, ensuring alignment with architectural and structural models. The BIM Engineer – MEP will prepare detailed construction drawings, shop drawings, and documentation that meet international standards and project specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, resolving clashes, updating models based on design changes, and supporting 4D/5D simulations where required. The role also includes contributing to workflow improvement, maintaining project documentation, and supporting automation initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy.

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM), including model creation, coordination, and clash detection.
• Candidates should possess skills in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems design and coordination within BIM environments.
• Candidates should possess skills related to Architecture and Civil Engineering to understand multidisciplinary project requirements and interfaces.
• Candidates should possess skills in preparing and interpreting construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP), Navisworks, and related BIM tools.
• Understanding of international standards and codes (e.g., Eurocodes, ASTM, British Standards) is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with global project teams.
• Experience with automation workflows, Revit API, or scripting (e.g., Dynamo, Python) is a plus.
