Job summary

Lodha is looking for a seasoned MEP Billing Engineer to manage monthly progress invoicing, measurement, and substantiation of electrical and mechanical works on real estate developments.

You will review drawings, coordinate with MEP engineers and subcontractors, verify invoices, and support project management across the lifecycle of the works. 8–15 years’ experience in construction is required, with post‑graduate advantage; this is not HO based.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 8-15 years of experience in Real Estate/Construction.
• Post Graduate qualifications are an added advantage.
• HO based role: not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly progress invoices for MEP works based on site progress and contractual terms.
• Ensure accurate measurement, documentation, and substantiation of works completed as per contract.
• Review project scope/drawings/specifications to ensure correct billing of all MEP works.
• Collaborate with MEP engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to obtain data for billing.
• Attend site meetings to understand progress and resolve billing queries.
• Verify and process contractor and supplier invoices related to MEP works.
• Participate in overall project management for Electrical/Mechanical works.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly progress invoices for MEP works based on the site progress, client agreements, and contractual terms.
• Ensure accurate measurement, documentation, and substantiation of works completed in alignment with the contract terms and scope.
• Review the project scope, drawings, and specifications to ensure the correct billing of all completed MEP works.
• Collaborate with MEP engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to obtain relevant data for billing purposes.
• Attend site meetings to understand project progress and resolve billing-related queries or issues.
• Verify and process contractor and supplier invoices related to MEP works.
• Participate where required in all aspects of the project management for the Electrical/Mechanical works.
• Undertake the detailed short term planning and co-ordination at site in accordance with the master programme.
• Ensure typical quantity take offs are in place by QS for most of the activities; ensure in case of variations, the quantity is checked by the QS
• Acquire and implement new skills in contract administration/billing cycle improvement/vendor performance analysis
• Close-out the final billing in 3/4 months after project completion- get sign off on the final bill
• Skilled in understanding technical discipline processes, engineering drawings, quantity determinations, and mathematical reports
• Quantity as well as invoice verification and billing for complete project w.r.t conditions of contract.
• Receiving change request, review of the request and amendment of work orders.
