Job summary

Viraj Profiles Private Limited in Maharashtra seeks an experienced AOD Melter / Induction Melter with 3–5 years in steel melting operations. You will operate and optimize AOD and induction furnaces, manage alloy additions, temperature control and slag processes to deliver desired steel grades.

The role requires hands‑on experience in steel melting and the ability to work in shifts, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards across production lines.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands‑on experience in AOD melting and/or induction furnace operations.
• Hands‑on experience in steel melting / alloy steel / stainless steel melting is preferred.
• Knowledge of furnace operation, alloy additions, temperature control and chemical analysis.
• Ability to understand and follow production and quality parameters.
• Good knowledge of industrial safety practices.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control AOD/Induction Melting Furnace as per production requirements.
• Handle melting, refining, alloy addition, temperature control and slag management.
• Ensure proper chemical composition and temperature of molten metal.
• Monitor furnace parameters and maintain safe and efficient melting operations.
• Coordinate with Quality and Production teams for required grades and specifications.
• Maintain records of heat‑wise production, temperature, chemistry and alloy consumption.
• Follow all safety procedures and SOPs during furnace operations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and minimize melting losses and downtime.
• Maintain good housekeeping and compliance with plant safety standards.

• Operate and control AOD (Argon Oxygen Decarburization) / Induction Melting Furnace as per production requirements.

• Ensure proper chemical composition and temperature of molten metal.
  
• Monitor furnace parameters and maintain safe and efficient melting operations.
  
• Coordinate with the Quality and Production teams for achieving required grades and specifications.
  
• Maintain proper records of heat-wise production, temperature, chemistry, and alloy consumption.
