Job summary

Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited is seeking a field sales professional with ophthalmology exposure to drive prescriptions in Chennai and surrounding areas. The role requires promotion to doctors and pharmacists, effective pre-call planning, and maintaining strong relationships across HCPs.

The ideal candidate holds a Graduate degree (science preferred) and is willing to travel nationwide. Chennai-based posting with relocation as needed and a valid two-wheeler license will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Field force role involving promotion of products to healthcare professionals (HCPs).
• Willingness to travel and relocate anywhere in India.
• Candidate should have a Graduate degree; science background preferred and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out field work to generate prescriptions and surpass budget targets.
• Prepare pre-call planning and enter accurate information in the system.
• Demonstrate and promote ophthalmology products to doctors and pharmacists per guidelines.
• Build strong relationships to ensure regular customer conversions and prevent prescriber loss.
• Ensure product availability at pharmacists and complete required POBs per division norms.
• Update doctor/chemist lists as per division guidelines.
• Support successful launches by executing division-recommended strategies.

Job Description

1. Carrying out effective field work to achieve and surpass the assigned budget by generation of prescriptions through medical professionals (HCPs).
2. Carrying out the effective RCPA and entering the correct information in the system and prepare / set objective (Pre Call Planning) for every Doctor call.
3. Demonstrate and promote products to HCPs (doctors and pharmacists) as per the guidelines provided by the division to generate maximum prescriptions.
4. Ensure regular customer conversion, no prescriber loss by following the division strategy by building effective relationship.
5. Ensure the sufficient availability of the products at the pharmacists to honor the Doctor prescription and do the required number of POBs as per the division norms.
6. Create / update the effective Doctor / Chemist list as per the division guidelines.
7. Ensure the success of new launches by implementing the strategies suggested by the division.
