Job summary

Prompt Personnel in Mumbai seeks a Mechanical Estimation Engineer to analyze tender documents, read drawings, prepare cost estimates and MTOs for EPC projects.

You will coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams, prepare techno-commercial bid documents, and support cost optimization while ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical EPC works.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and P&IDs.
• Understanding of fabrication, erection, and site execution.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Study and analyze tender documents, BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates for mechanical works including piping of various MOCs, structural steel, fire-fighting Piping, Pumps Equipment, Valves and process systems.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs (MTO/BOQ) from drawings and specifications.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and planning teams.
• Prepare techno-commercial bid documents including cost sheets and execution methodology.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and clarification discussions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, IS, NFPA).
• Support value engineering and cost optimization proposals.
• Assist in post-order handover to the execution team.
