Job summary

Nisan Scientific Process Equipments in Navi Mumbai is seeking a Sales Engineer – Tendering to manage end-to-end tendering, bid evaluation, techno-commercial offers, and cost estimation in line with customer specs and company policy.

You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, QA/QC and finance, prepare clarifications and deviations, track submissions, and support order finalization and handover to execution teams.

Qualifications

• Experience 5–8 years in Sales Engineering/Estimation/Costing.
• Experience with tenders for EPC projects and OEM requirements.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and SAP; strong technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end tendering activities including bid evaluation and techno-commercial offers.
• Prepare cost estimates, pricing strategies, and offers.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, QA/QC, and finance.
• Ensure tender compliance with standards and project specs.
• Prepare clarifications, deviations, and respond to technical queries.
• Track submissions, follow up with clients, and support order finalization.
• Participate in technical discussions, pre-bid meetings, and negotiations.
• Maintain tender records and MIS.
• Support handover of awarded orders to execution teams.
• Preparation & Checking of Jobcard & Bill of Material.
• Preparation & Checking of GA/components drawing.
• Acting as a single point contact for all the related contacts.

Job Title: Sales Engineer Estimation/Costing/Instrumentation

Job Summary

The Sales Engineer – Tendering is responsible for handling end-to-end tendering activities, including bid evaluation, techno-commercial offer preparation, Cost estimation, coordination with internal teams, and client interaction. The role ensures timely submission of competitive and compliant tenders in line with customer specifications and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, review, and evaluate enquiries from clients, EPC contractors, GeM and consultants
• Study tender documents, specifications, drawings, BOQs, and commercial terms
• Prepare techno-commercial offers, cost estimates, and pricing strategies
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, QA/QC, and finance teams for inputs
• Ensure compliance with tender requirements, standards, and project specifications
• Prepare clarifications, deviations, and respond to customer technical queries
• Track enquiry submissions, follow up with clients, and support order finalization
• Participate in technical discussions, pre-bid meetings, and negotiations
• Maintain tender records, bid status reports, and MIS
• Support handover of awarded orders to execution/project teams
• Preparation & Checking of Jobcard & Bill of Material.
• Preparation & Checking of GA/components drawing.
• Acting as a single point contact for all the related contacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrument )
• Diploma holders with strong technical knowledge in instrumentation may also be considered

Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in Sales Engineering/Estimation/Costing
• Experience in handling tenders for EPC projects, OEM’S requirement like various types of level gauges, LT Chamber is preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of technical specifications and drawings
• Knowledge of tendering processes, commercial terms, and contract conditions
• Good costing, estimation, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and SAP systems
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tenders

Preferred Attributes

• Exposure to Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical, Water, or Infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, ISO, etc.)
• Understanding of GST, Incoterms, and payment terms
