Job summary

Vaaman Engineer India Ltd. in Jharsuguda, Odisha, seeks an experienced Mechanical Manager to lead maintenance and reliability across Cast House, Wire Rod Mill, ICM and Billet Casting.

You will drive preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, supervise hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and push kaizen and safety compliance. Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in metals/process industries.
• Experience in aluminium/ non-ferrous metals preferred.
• Leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical maintenance activities for Cast House, Wire Rod Mill, ICM & Billet Casting.
• Manage preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Handle Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems and troubleshooting.
• Drive equipment reliability, availability and maintenance performance.
• Conduct RCA & FMEA for major and recurring failures.
• Monitor and improve MTTR & MTBF.
• Plan and execute shutdowns, major overhauls and preventive maintenance.
• Analyse breakdown trends and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Production, Operations, Electrical and Instrumentation teams.
• Ensure availability of critical spares and maintenance resources.
• Lead Kaizen, reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, SOP, LOTO and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Lead and develop the mechanical maintenance team.
