Job summary

Crescendo Global Leadership Hiring India is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Consultant with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in asset-intensive manufacturing, preferably steel, metals or heavy engineering. You will lead root-cause analysis and implement reliability improvements on the shop floor.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Shop-floor diagnostics: analyse performance, breakdowns, downtime, MTBF, MTTR and identify reliability losses.
• Breakdown & reliability improvement: conduct RCA, 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto and implement focused improvement projects.
• Maintenance excellence: improve preventive/predictive maintenance, planning, scheduling and PM backlog.
• Critical spares management: identify critical spares and improve spare planning.
• Team coaching & governance: drive KPIs and coach engineers, supervisors and technicians on reliability practices.

Title of Job- Maintenance & Reliability Consultant-5+ years-Odisha

We are looking for a Maintenance & Reliability professional with 57 years of hands-on experience who has worked directly on the shop floor and has strong exposure to equipment reliability, breakdown elimination, MTBF/MTTR improvement, preventive & predictive maintenance, and maintenance excellence.

The role involves working closely with plant maintenance and operations teams to identify recurring equipment failures, diagnose root causes and implement practical solutions that improve equipment availability and reduce downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Shop-Floor Diagnostics Analyse equipment performance, breakdowns, downtime, MTBF, MTTR and identify chronic reliability losses.
• Breakdown & Reliability Improvement Conduct RCA, 5-Why, Fishbone and Pareto analysis and implement Focused Improvement Projects (FIPs).
• Maintenance Excellence Improve preventive/predictive maintenance, maintenance planning, scheduling, PM compliance and backlog management.
• Critical Spares Management – Identify critical spares, analyse downtime due to spare unavailability and improve spare planning.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of hands-on maintenance/reliability experience, preferably in steel, metals, heavy engineering or other asset-intensive manufacturing.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or related engineering discipline.
• Strong experience in equipment reliability, breakdown elimination, MTBF/MTTR improvement and RCA.
• Knowledge of TPM, preventive/predictive maintenance, equipment criticality, maintenance planning and critical spares management.
• Exposure to Advanced Excel, Power BI, CMMS/ERP is preferred. Lean Six Sigma / CMRP / TPM certification will be an advantage.
