Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a Mechanical Manager to lead the maintenance and reliability engineering for our production plant. You will drive mechanical integrity of mainline, slitting, extrusion and related systems to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, deep knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime and costs while complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in mechanical maintenance/engineering roles in manufacturing.
• Experience with film manufacturing equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical maintenance of all plant equipment and facilities.
• Ensure maximum availability and reliability of production and utility equipment.
• Develop and implement PM, PdM and CBM programs.
• Lead troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical breakdowns and RCA.

Job Purpose

The Mechanical Manager will be responsible for the overall mechanical maintenance, reliability, engineering, and technical support of the plant to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation of production facilities.

The position will be responsible for the mechanical reliability of the BOPP mainline, slitting and rewinding equipment, extrusion and stretching systems, dielectric/electrical film manufacturing equipment, utilities, material-handling systems, and other mechanical installations.

The Mechanical Manager will lead the maintenance team to achieve maximum equipment availability, minimum breakdowns and production downtime, optimum maintenance costs, and compliance with all applicable safety and statutory requirements.

Major Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance

• Take overall responsibility for the mechanical maintenance of all plant equipment and facilities.
• Ensure maximum availability and reliability of production and utility equipment.
• Develop and implement effectivePreventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM)programs.
• Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance activities as per OEM recommendations and approved schedules.
• Lead troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical breakdowns.
• Monitor recurring failures and implementRoot Cause Analysis (RCA)and corrective action
