Renew is seeking a Mechanical Manager to lead mechanical project execution for process equipment and utility systems, ensuring coordinated installation, contractor performance, testing, commissioning and timely system handover.

The role requires 10-15 years of experience in large industrial projects, overseeing contractors and commissioning activities, with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. PM qualification is an advantage and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience in large industrial/manufacturing projects.
  • Experience leading contractors, equipment installation and commissioning activities.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical execution plans aligned with the master project schedule.
  • Review layouts, P&IDs, vendor drawings and installation methodologies.
  • Lead mechanical contractors and site engineering teams across equipment erection, piping and utility integration.
  • Coordinate production-equipment interfaces with civil, structural, electrical, process and utility disciplines.
  • Monitor productivity, material availability, quality and EHS compliance and drive milestone achievement.
  • Coordinate vendor mobilization, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Drive punch-list closure, system turnover and handover documentation.
  • Report progress, risks, decisions and recovery plans to project leadership.

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Manager leads mechanical project execution for process equipment and utility systems, ensuring coordinated installation, contractor performance, testing, commissioning and timely system handover.


Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Planning
  • Develop mechanical execution plans and priorities aligned with the master project schedule.
  • Review layouts, specifications, P&IDs, vendor drawings and installation methodologies.
  • Identify critical interfaces, material risks and work-front constraints and establish recovery actions.
Project & Site Execution
  • Lead mechanical contractors and site engineering teams across equipment erection, piping and utility integration.
  • Coordinate production-equipment interfaces with civil, structural, electrical, process and utility disciplines.
  • Monitor productivity, material availability, quality and EHS compliance and drive milestone achievement.
Commissioning & Leadership
  • Coordinate vendor mobilization, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Drive punch-list closure, system turnover and handover documentation.
  • Report progress, risks, decisions and recovery plans to project leadership.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Project-management qualification is an advantage.
Experience
  • 10-15 years of experience in large industrial/manufacturing projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading contractors, equipment installation and commissioning activities.
Technical Skills
  • Mechanical project execution; process equipment; piping/P&IDs; utility systems; commissioning.
  • Planning, contractor management, technical review, QA/QC and multidisciplinary interface management.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling/progress tools and engineering documentation.
Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership, decision-making and stakeholder management.
  • Commercial and schedule awareness.
  • Effective communication and escalation management.
