Job summary

LT-Larsen & Toubro requires a senior Mechanical Engineering Leader to direct end-to-end mechanical engineering activities across EPC, Offshore, Energy, Industrial, and Heavy Engineering projects in India.

You will review calculations, datasheets, specifications, and deliverables to ensure compliance with client requirements and international codes and standards, providing guidance on static/rotating equipment and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end mechanical engineering activities for EPC, Offshore, Energy, Industrial, and Heavy Engineering projects.
• Review and approve mechanical design calculations, equipment datasheets, specifications, and engineering deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, project specifications, and international codes and standards.
• Provide technical guidance on static equipment, rotating equipment, packages, utilities, and mechanical systems.
• Manage mechanical engineering deliverables to meet project schedules, quality standards, and budget requirements.
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Procurement, Construction, and Project Management teams.
• Support fabrication, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Resolve critical technical issues and provide engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead technical bid evaluations, vendor assessments, and equipment procurement support.
• Review and approve vendor documents, manufacturing records, and inspection reports.
• Act as the key interface with clients, consultants, licensors, and certification agencies.
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and progress review meetings.
