Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance activities for IMF moulding lines, induction furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, shot blasting machines and utilities to ensure reliable operation.
• Monitor daily machine check sheets and identify deviations for timely action.
• Improve equipment reliability through timely rectification and monitoring of electrical issues across the plant.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for mechanical breakdowns and implement corrective actions within target timelines.
• Drive improvement projects to reduce mechanical failures, and train subordinates to sustain gains.
• Ensure workplace safety during maintenance activities and execute preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during all maintenance work.
• Complete statutory inspections and annual certifications for mechanical installations and equipment on time.
• Identify critical machines and spare parts to maintain inventory and minimize downtime.
• Analyze opportunities for cost reduction in utilities, fuel, water, and energy resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Perform mechanical maintenance activities for IMF moulding lines, induction furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, shot blasting machines and utility systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
• 2.Monitor daily machine check sheets and identify, analyze, and address any deviations.
• 3. Improve equipment reliability and performance through timely rectification and continuous monitoring of electrical failures across the plant.
• 4. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for all mechanical breakdowns using standard problem-solving tools and implement corrective and preventive actions within the defined target timelines.
• 5.Initiate and drive improvement projects aimed at reducing mechanical failures, monitor their effectiveness, and sustain improvements through training and skill development of subordinates.
• 6. Ensure workplace safety during the maintanance activities. Execute preventive maintenance activities for all foundry electrical equipment as per the approved maintenance schedule.
• 7. Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety standards during all maintenance activities.
• 8. Ensure timely completion of statutory inspections and annual certification requirements for mechanical installations and equipment.
• 9.Identify critical machines and spare parts and ensure adequate inventory availability to minimize downtime.
• 10.Analyze and identify opportunities for cost reduction in utilities and operations, fuel, water, and other energy resources.
• 11.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment availability, reliability, productivity, and energy efficiency across the plant.
