Job summary

Oswal Cables Pvt. Ltd. seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Executive to ensure smooth operation of plant machinery through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance. The role focuses on minimizing downtime and improving equipment performance.

You will maintain motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and support cable manufacturing equipment tasks across wire drawing, extrusion, and armouring processes. Shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 25 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in manufacturing or cable industry.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and ensure timely resolution to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain equipment such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Support maintenance of cable manufacturing machinery, including wire drawing, stranding, bunching, extrusion, armouring, and other production equipment, as applicable.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, lubrication, alignment, and replacement of worn-out parts.
• Identify recurring breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Production, Electrical Maintenance, and other departments for smooth plant operations.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, spare parts inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit-to-work procedures, and 5S practices.
