Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Surat, Gujarat seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Technician with strong experience in heavy machine shop environments. The role involves maintaining HBM equipment, gantry milling machines, VTL/VTCs, and EOT cranes, while documenting repairs for traceability and planning preventive actions.

You will work with engineers on complex tasks, order parts, and ensure safety and environmental regulations are followed. Strong communication is essential for coordinating across teams.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance experience in heavy machine shop, including HBM, gantry milling, VTL and VTC similar to PAMA/Skoda/Waco/HNK.
• Knowledge of EOT cranes and material handling equipment maintenance.
• Ability to document maintenance and repairs for future reference.
• Experience inspecting machinery for defects and planning preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Collaborating with engineers on complex maintenance tasks.
• Ordering parts and equipment for maintenance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job description

• Adhering to all safety and environmental regulations when conducting maintenance tasks
• Proven work experience as a Mechanical maintenance in Heavy Machine shop, in HBM, Gantry milling machine, VTL and VTC like PAMA , Skoda, Waco, HNK etc..
• Knowledge in EOT cranes and Material Handling Equipment maintenance
• Documenting all maintenance and repair work for future reference
• Overseeing the maintenance of Mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance & Inspecting machinery and equipment to identify any defects or malfunctions
• Planning and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance & Recommending modifications to improve equipment performance
• Working closely with other engineering professionals in the planning and execution of complex maintenance tasks
• Ordering replacement parts and equipment necessary for maintenance
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
