Job summary

Polymed in India seeks a Plant Maintenance Engineer to oversee maintenance of Special Purpose Machines, automatic assembly lines, and automation systems. You will troubleshoot breakdowns during shifts, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure minimum downtime while documenting activities.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with pneumatic and mechanical systems, be able to manage shift operations independently, and report maintenance metrics using MS Office and SAP.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in plant maintenance of Special Purpose Machines (SPM), automatic machines and assembly lines.
• Attend and resolve machine breakdowns during running plant shifts, ensuring minimum downtime.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of machines (SPM / assembly machines / automation systems).
• Conduct shop floor activities related to machine maintenance.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic systems (air cylinders, valves, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and their upkeep.
• Record and analyze breakdown data (MTTR / MTBF), prepare reports, and maintain documentation.
• Use MS Office, SAP system for breakdown entry, maintenance records, and reporting.
• Support industrial automation activities for machine efficiency and uptime improvement.
