Job summary

WOW Softech in Jejuri, Pune district, invites applications for a Mechanical Engineer in Production/Operation. The candidate should hold BE/BTech in Mechanical and have 1–5 years of experience in a production environment. The role reports to the Sr.

Manager and follows a 5-day week with Thursday and Sunday as weekly offs. Responsibilities include monitoring machinery, troubleshooting, maintaining QMS documents, improving efficiency, managing inventory, and ensuring 5S on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• BE / BTech in Mechanical engineering required.
• 1–5 years of experience in production department.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain production machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Update QMS documents (SOPs, WI, checklists, certificates).
• Develop skill matrix for shop floor manpower.
• Create standardized daily meetings structure.
• Maintain inventory levels at point of use.
• Enforce 5S standards on the shop floor.
• Improve production efficiency and reduce cycle time.
• Interpret drawings and safety practices.
• Identify bottlenecks and standardize work sequences.

1. Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery for production Purpose.
2. Troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement corrective actions.
3. Ensure all QMS documents SOP, WI, checklist, forms and certificates are updated and controlled.
4. Develop skill matrix of the shop floor manpower and develop competencies required through training identification and needs.
5. Develop standardized daily meeting structure - This would be an overall mapping of all the regular meetings down to daily level.
6. Ensure proper inventory levels of materials and parts at point of use.
7. Ensure 5S standards are practiced on the shop floor and create Safe, clean and organized work area throughout the unit.
8. Improve production efficiency and reduce cycle time.
9. Ability to read technical drawings, WIS & understanding of safety practice
10. Identify bottlenecks on the shop floor and create continuous flow in the production. Level different products and create a standardized work sequence for the operators.
