• Familiarity with NBC, IS standards and fire safety requirements.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to review drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with 5–8 years of relevant experience in high-rise residential and commercial real estate projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, supervision, and coordination of mechanical services at project sites, ensuring work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute mechanical works for high-rise residential and commercial projects.
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, BOQs, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate and monitor installation of HVAC, ventilation, firefighting, plumbing, pumps, and other mechanical systems, as applicable to the project.
• Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, MEP, Architecture, PMC, consultants, contractors, and vendors for smooth project execution.
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of mechanical activities as per the project schedule.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with approved materials, quality standards, and construction practices.
• Identify site issues, technical discrepancies, and clashes and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
• Check material requirements, technical specifications, and quantities in coordination with the procurement and project teams.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing BOQs, rate analysis, material submittals, method statements, and technical reports.
• Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with consultants for approvals, inspections, and resolution of technical queries.
• Maintain proper documentation including inspection reports, test reports, site records, and progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable NBC, IS standards, fire safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Monitor safety practices and ensure mechanical works are executed in accordance with site HSE requirements.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide regular updates on progress, issues, and requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of MEP and mechanical services in high-rise construction.
• Hands-on experience in HVAC, ventilation, firefighting, pumps, and mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of mechanical drawings and coordination drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and basic understanding of MEP coordination/BIM is preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, testing, commissioning, and quality control.
• Strong coordination and contractor management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, BOQs, and project drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and site-management capabilities.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under project timelines and handle multiple activities simultaneously.
