Job summary

MEICON is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting) for high-rise residential projects in Bangalore. You will prepare estimates, review drawings, and manage MEP coordination across civil and electrical disciplines.

The role requires a bachelor's in construction/mechanical/electrical engineering, and hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office, with strong organizational and communication skills to lead site activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 68 years of experience in MEP engineering, preferably in high-rise residential projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction project management software.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, coordination practices, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quantity estimates for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure strict compliance with contract specifications and quality standards.
• Review contractor shop drawings and material proposals, ensuring proper coordination with structural and electrical disciplines.
• Develop and manage detailed MEP construction schedules, including two-week and monthly look-aheads.
• Lead coordination between clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely provision of site utilities and resources.
• Oversee procurement, delivery, installation, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with technical requirements.
• Facilitate site meetings, issue technical clarifications, and proactively resolve construction and coordination issues.
• Monitor contractor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays.
• Supervise commissioning, testing, and handover of MEP works, ensuring proper documentation and client training.
• Manage defect resolution during the liability period, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
