Job summary

The ePlane Company is seeking a maintenance technician to service and repair manufacturing equipment in our Chennai facility. You will perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults, and ensure equipment is safe and ready for production.

You will maintain schedules, logs, and spares, and coordinate with external vendors for major repairs and calibration while adhering to EHS and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control-related issues and carry out necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine inspection, lubrication, alignment, tightening, and replacement of worn-out components.
• Maintain maintenance schedules, checklists, breakdown reports, and equipment service records.
• Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs, servicing, calibration, and inspections.
• Ensure all machines and tools are maintained in safe and operational condition.
• Follow EHS, PPE, LOTO, and machine safety requirements.
• Maintain critical spare parts and raise requirements for maintenance consumables and spares.
• Support production teams to minimize machine downtime and production interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control-related faults.
• Inspect, lubricate, align, tighten, and replace worn components as part of routine maintenance.
• Maintain maintenance logs, checklists and breakdown reports for traceability.
• Coordinate with vendors for major repairs, calibration, and servicing.
• Ensure machines and tools remain safe, functional and compliant with safety rules.
