Job summary

Cryo Scientific Systems in Chennai seeks engineers skilled in mechanical engineering, CAD design and drafting, and piping systems to join our team. You will read mechanical drawings and P&IDs, select components, and coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and manufacturing groups in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes 3D modelling and 2D drafting, BOM creation, and producing technical documentation while maintaining high standards of accuracy and detail.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to read and understand Mechanical Drawings and P&IDs.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Cryogenic Equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals
• CAD design and drafting AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo or equivalent
• Knowledge of Piping systems, valves, fittings, and piping components
• Ability to read and understand Mechanical Drawings and P&IDs
• Knowledge of Machine Design and component selection
• Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes
• Basic knowledge of Control Systems and Instrumentation is an added advantage
• 3D modelling and 2D drafting skills
• BOM preparation and technical documentation
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to coordinate with Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Production, and Manufacturing teams
• Attention to detail and ability to work with engineering specifications and standards
• Knowledge of Cryogenic Equipment Added Advantage.
