Job summary

Adept Fluidyne in Pune is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to high-quality designs, validate drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role requires strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, instrumentation, and GD&T, with an emphasis on manufacturability and standardization.

You will report to the Manager - Engineering, drive documentation control, and support skill development within the design team to ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, preferably in flow measurement, instrumentation, or process industry.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of high-quality mechanical product designs in line with company standards and customer requirements.
• Review, validate, and approve engineering drawings and technical documentation ensuring compliance with GD&T, design standards
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and alignment with project goals.
• Ensure proper application of fluid mechanics and instrumentation fundamentals in all design activities.
• Drive design standardization, continuous improvement initiatives, and proper documentation control.
• Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and support skill development
• Manage project timelines, priorities, and resource allocation to meet deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with design processes and effective use of AutoCAD and other design tools.
• Implement and utilize design management systems to streamline project execution, review, and submission.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and related design software (3D Modelling & Drafting)
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.

• In-depth knowledge of Mechanical design, materials mechanics, fluid mechanics, and instrumentation fundamentals.
