Job summary

IILA INDUSTRIES in Karnataka seeks a senior mechanical design engineer with strong CAD skills and a solid grasp of thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection and GD&T. You will lead and execute engineering projects, develop specifications and coordinate testing and documentation.

You will interact with customers and suppliers, create layouts and drawings, and implement tooling, fixtures and processes to enhance manufacturability and product quality across programs.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex mechanical design and problem solving.
• Ability to develop specifications and test reports.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot a wide range of complex mechanical problems with limited to no supervision.
• Lead or execute engineering projects, including the development of key suppliers
• Develop, design, or modify engineering layouts, schematics, or drawings/specifications of complex scope
• Communicate with internal and external customers regarding a wide range of complex mechanical issues for specific projects
• Implement concepts for a range of complex product issues and solutions
• Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fxturing and associated processes; enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies; establish standards across operational processes; serve as a technical expert on specialized projects or programs
• Generate product specifications
• Define, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports; specify and review engineering documentation;specify or perform complex engineering analysis
• Clearlycommunicate complex concepts and influence various perspectives
