Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions in Mumbai seeks a Mechanical Designer for Our Client's global Engineering Centre. You will develop detailed drawings for fired heaters, reformers, and HRSGs, and supervise junior designers.

Key skills include TEKLA modelling, Advance Steel, and API 560 familiarity. You'll coordinate with sub-contractors and interact with clients during model reviews.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical engineering from reputed institute.
• 5–15 years of relevant detail engineering experience in Fired Heaters/HRSG.
• Experience with Fired Heater EPC design and refineries/oil & gas projects.
• Experience designing as Mechanical Designer (Fired Heaters).

Responsibilities

• Develop GA drawings and coil/ducting layouts for fired heaters per API datasheet.
• Supervise junior designers and review Tekla/Advance Steel models.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors and attend client design reviews.
• Support heater modularization and erection sequence planning.

For the Mechanical team, we are looking for a Mechanical Designer. You will be located in Our Client’s Global Engineering & Execution Centre at Mumbai in India.

MAIN MISSION

Core functional competencies will be:

• Capable of independently developing the fired heater / steam methane reformer Plot Plan / General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) / Coil Drawings / Tube Support drawings / Ducting layout / Steel GADs based on Heater API datasheet and project specifications / standard / code.
• Must be familiar with the API 560 code (For heater drawing related requirement).
• Should be capable of supervising team of junior designer/draftsman.
• Should be familiar with advance steel and TEKLA modelling.
• Must be able to review the Advance steel / Tekla model.
• Must be able to do sub-contractor co-ordination / developing sub-contractor.
• Good communications and man management skills.
• Must be familiar with heater modularization / erection sequences

Preferred functional competencies will be:

• Able to Attend / Discuss client- 3D model review meeting.
• Must be familiar with steel connections and other typical heater related details.
• Capable of attending site / Shop / erection related queries.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in Mechanical engineering from reputed institute
• 5 - 15 years of relevant experience in detail engineering field fired heaters/ Reformers/ HRSG
• Candidate having work experience in Fired Heater EPC company designing and supplying Fired Heater to refineries, oil and gas plants
• Candidate with design experience from reputed Engineering companies as a Mechanical Designer (Fired Heaters)
