Job summary

Orbit & Skyline in India is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to create and update component specification sheets and 3D CAD models for parts and assemblies. You will prepare drawings to standard specifications and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on ECN and ECO activities.

You will participate in design reviews and design optimisation, and undertake duties as required by management. A bachelor's in mechanical engineering with 1–5 years of experience is required; a master's is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 1-5 years of experience.
• Master's degree will be preferred.

Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboarding a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in creating/updating component specification sheets and part/assembly 3D CAD models.

Roles & responsibilities:

• Work on creating/updating component specification sheets and part/assembly 3D CAD models.


• Prepare the part/assembly drawings as per the given standard.


• Working with cross-functional teams for ECN and ECO activities.


• Participation in design reviews and design optimisation activities.


• Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by management.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 1-5 years of experience.


• A master's degree will be preferred.

Mandatory Skills:

• Should have a good working knowledge of NX/Creo/SolidWorks (Any one of them).


• Sound knowledge of sheet metals, Machined and plastic parts.


• Strong technical foundation & understanding of various manufacturing processes.


• Has good communication skills (written & verbal).


• Excellent command of Microsoft tools - Word, PowerPoint and Excel.


• Able to work with limited supervision and in an agile environment.

Good to have :

• Basic understanding of GD&T & tolerance stack-up


• Understanding of FMEA


• Knowledge of design life cycle management tools, e.g. Windchill/PLM.
