Kraftsman in Maharashtra, India seeks a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to support CAD-driven design and development of mechanical components. You will create 3D models, 2D drawings, and assist production for smooth manufacturing and assembly.

The role requires a Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 1–2 years of SolidWorks experience and basic AutoCAD skills, plus strong problem-solving and drawing interpretation abilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-2 years of experience in SolidWorks (mandatory).
• Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of mechanical fundamentals, tolerances & manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and work independently with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and detailed designs of parts and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Prepare and update 2D drawings, layouts, and BOM using AutoCAD / SolidWorks.
• Assist in machine and component design based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with production and assembly teams to resolve design-related queries.

• Ensure designs follow manufacturing feasibility (DFM) and quality standards.
• Participate in prototype building, testing, and design improvement activities.
• Support material selection and vendor coordination for bought-out items.
• Maintain deadlines and adhere to company standards and project schedules.
