Role & responsibilities:

Design, develop, and verify mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks.

• Create detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing instructions.
• Conduct thorough analysis to ensure the design meets performance and safety requirements.
• Select appropriate materials, bearings, and seals based on design specifications and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and production staff, to ensure seamless design and production processes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, design standards, and materials science.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve design quality and efficiency.
• Document design processes and results, ensuring all information is accurately recorded and available for future reference.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of materials science and ability to select appropriate materials for various applications.
• In-depth understanding of GD&T and its application in mechanical design.
• Experience in creating detailed part drawings and assembly drawings.
• Expertise in bearing and seal selection for mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to work in a site-based or remote location as required.
