AR4 Tech in Tamil Nadu is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to develop and model automotive components using CAD tools such as CATIA or SolidWorks, including engine, transmission, chassis, and interiors. You will translate project requirements into concepts and prototypes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and model automotive components/systems (engine, transmission, chassis, interiors, etc.) using CAD tools (e.g. CATIA, SolidWorks).
• Develop product concepts and prototypes based on project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams for manufacturable solutions
• Document technical specifications, changes, and reports
• Stay updated with evolving automotive trends and regulations
• Analyze testing data, resolve design issues, propose optimizations (weight, cost, performance).
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging automotive technologies and materials
• Manage project deliverables and timelines
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and design specifications.

Preferred candidate profile

Must Have

• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of 3D Modeling and Assembly Design.
• Experience in sustainable/EV-related design .

What Were Looking For

• Experience: 4–7 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry.
