Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer located in Bengaluru. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems. This includes day‑to‑day tasks such as machine design, computer‑aided design (CAD) modeling, project management, and conducting research and development (R&D) activities. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure that engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or structural design in automotive, EV, or aerospace sectors.
• Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design skills for designing vehicle subsystems and components.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Fusion360, including assemblies and detailed drawings.
• Experience in Project Management, managing design timelines, resources, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Research and Development (R&D) skills in vehicle systems, EV components, or related fields.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills for design, prototyping, and performance testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of explaining design trade‑offs to non‑mechanical teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, including electronics, battery, and fabrication teams.
• Deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, including aluminum, composites, sheet metal, and plastics, with hands‑on prototyping experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles for vehicle design, including GD&T, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, and mechanical reliability testing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
