Job description – System Level Mechanical Architecture

Define mechanical architects for:

• Telescopic masts (nested tubes, locking, deployment)
• Precision tripods (stability, uneven terrain, vibration)
• PTU mechanical assemblies (bearing stacks, geartrains, housings) -Physics-Based Design

Perform first-principles calculations for:

• Bending, buckling, torsion, fatigue
• Contact stresses and preload -Advanced simulation & interpretation

Use CFD (or equivalent reasoning) to estimate wind loads and flow-induced vibration. Interpret simulation results critically and drive design changes.
